Hoosier Racing Tire has been named the presenting sponsor of the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Series — the world’s largest grassroots drag racing participation program — marking a major milestone for the brand’s commitment to the drag racing community.
A Natural Fit for Grassroots Drag Racing
The 2026 season brings a massive expansion to the program, with Hoosier at the heart of it. Paul Menting, VP of Sales at Hoosier Racing Tire, called the partnership “a natural fit,” saying the series “represents the passion, dedication, and competitive spirit that define grassroots drag racing.”
Drivers in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, and Motorcycle classes will compete at NHRA member tracks across North America throughout the 2026 season, all under the Hoosier banner.
Program Expanded by 50%
The numbers tell the story of just how big this program has become:
- 12 E.T. Finals across the US and Canada (up from 8)
- 16 racers per category at each Finals event (doubled)
- 64 competitors at the World Championship in Las Vegas (doubled from 32)
- 4 new E.T. Finals locations added for 2026
New host tracks include Holly Springs, Mississippi; Great Bend, Kansas; Redding, California; and RAD Torque Raceway in Western Canada.
$30,000 Hoosier Prize Pool
NHRA has created a dedicated $30,000 Hoosier Prize Pool that will be shared among E.T. Finals winners and national champions who compete on Hoosier tires. It’s a clear incentive for racers at every level to choose the brand that’s been building championship-winning tires since 1957.
The NHRA Summit Racing Series presented by Hoosier World Championship takes place October 29 – November 1 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where four class champions from each of the 12 finals — plus wild card entries — will battle for the ultimate grassroots drag racing title.
What This Means for SA Racers
Hoosier’s deepening investment in drag racing at every level — from grassroots bracket racing to professional competition — means continued innovation in their drag tire lineup. South African racers benefit directly from the R&D and compound development that comes from supporting thousands of passes at tracks across North America.
Whether you’re running DOT drag radials on the street or slicks at the strip, you’re getting tires backed by the world’s most invested drag racing tire manufacturer.
